I'm very happy with how the front garden has filled in. Neither the magnolia nor the tea tree survived the move. I didn't really like the magnolia, but I
really liked loved the tea tree. I was sad to see it go. None of the plants in this garden are anything special - most everything is a spreading or self-seeding perennial. That's fine for now until I have the funds for something more fun. In the meantime, it looks sooooo much better than grass.

It looks great! We've just planted loads of seeds for perennials--I hope ours looks as good as yours does next year.
ReplyDeleteSeeds are so fun for kids. My daughter picked out hollyhocks and sunflowers - but both say to wait until next month in my zone...
DeleteIt looks awesome! And your neighborhood looks really cute.
ReplyDeleteWe really like our neighborhood - we got lucky! Good neighbors, too.
DeleteEverything is filling in so nicely, hopefully my hellstrip is looking as nice next year (the 3 new trees we bought today should help)!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing how much things grow in just a year. I've been happily surprised.
