There isn't much there. I don't think I even finished a single magazine in 2013. I've been reading too many blogs and watching more TV (via Netflix). Hmm...maybe I should do something about that.
This year I hope to read Three Cups of Tea, Wicked, The House of the Spirits and Ender's Game
What else should be on my list? Have you read any great books lately that won't hurt my brain?
*I hated this book.
**I loved this book, probably because I was completely unaware of such happenings.
The Bookman's Tale, by my neighbor, Charlie Lovett. It's not difficult to find, as it was a bestseller. He has the life I want, but he's a nice guy, so I forgive him.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the suggestion - I trust that it won't hurt my head to read it!
DeleteThere is a list of books that you should read before the movie comes out and one of my favorites is on there The Giver by Lois Lowry. I highly recommend it and it is quick read because it is technically a young adult book. I also loved the Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin. Have fun reading.
ReplyDeleteThe Giver sounds good; and I've heard of the Happiness Project, but I've not looked into it - yet Thanks for the recommendations!
DeleteCold Mountain is a great book (and movie, really) but it ruined me for days! DAYS!!!
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen the movie (still) because, I have an aversion to Nicole Kidman. I might need to suck it up, because I'm curious how they handled some of the story...
