July Bloom Day

Thank you to May Dreams Gardens for hosting Garden Bloggers' Bloom Day on the 15th of every month.

I wasn't able to get good shots of the day lilies (almost gone by), peas, beans, zucchini, strawberries and tomatoes. I also chose not to take pictures of all the roses, petunias, vinca and bastard blackberries. The pictures I'm sharing today where taken over the weekend.

California poppy
radish
cucumber
butterfly bush
dill
summer squash
lavender
yarrow
heath
rose
cosmos

  1. The California poppy is gorgeous and so is the cosmos! It's all gorgeous! You have a beautiful garden. And I bet the lavender smells so lovely.

  3. Oh man, I love cosmos. Do you know which yarrow you have? That color is so pretty.

    1. I couldn't resist the cosmos this year. The orange yarrow is the "terra cotta" and the red yarrow in the background is "paprika." And to think I intended to buy just white yarrow!

  4. Your garden is so, so pretty! I'm super uninspired this year and our yard is looking really shameful. I at least need to replant my pots and yet I haven't. Your photos make me want to get my butt in gear!

    1. We didn't do anything to the yard last year other than plant some vegetables. I seem to go in cycles of being really interested and being distracted by other projects. I think the early mild weather back in March started it all for me :) You have plenty going on at your place. Painting cabinets is a BIG job. The yard will be there when you are done!

    1. I'm still new at gardening, but I figured I should start with some of my favorites and then fill in as I go. We seem to eat a lot of dill, so I'm letting these go to seed.
