I was immediately pleased with the color I chose. Then I stepped back from the door after applying a bit of Behr's Starless Night. I was so, so sad that the new color looked ridiculously similar to the old color. But I was invested at this point, so I finished up the first coat expecting to feel underwhelmed with the results.
Here is what we lived with through a couple of moons before we completed the second coat, spray painted the hinges, painted the jambs and replaced the threshold. I absolutely love it! We were
We've been busy with regular life stuff. That busyness has made me tired. Being tired has halted all motivation to write. But I promise that I'll put together a "before and after" post for next week with some fancy side-by-side photos that we can all oooh and aaah over. oh i like the dark hue. that would be my fav too! i think summer always makes me want to blog less. probably because id rather be outside enjoying the day whenever i can!

ReplyDeleteThanks. I've secretly wanted something navy blue in that room since we painted it the gold color. I though about a couch or a rug, but never thought about the door until now. I'm very happy with the contrast.
DeleteI like that blue it looks great. I am glad to hear there are some other people out there that blog less in the summer. I feel like I am just about to get my grove back now that summer is winding down.
ReplyDeleteThanks! Yeah, my feedly list is much shorter these days...so lots of people aren't posting as much as usual. I miss everyone!
