This crocheted blanket is the only homemade Christmas gift I made this year. It's a good thing I didn't plan on other projects, because I kept messing this one up. The problem with making up my own pattern is fixing what doesn't work. I finally figured out the trick, but not until my fourth do-over. I love how it turned out, and hopefully the person receiving it loves it, too.
Handmade gifts are always m favorite. I'm snuggled up with our favorite wedding gift now. An afghan!
ReplyDeleteI love snuggly blankets I bet yours is just as cuddly !
It kept me warm while I was making it! I might make one in different colors for our couch.
DeleteI love that and am jealous of your skill!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I keep trying to knit, too, but it always feels awkward.
DeleteCrocheting is SO hard. I can't do a single loops when it comes to knitty or chrochety crafts. I wish I had more time for handmade gifts this year but I didn't do too bad I guess considering I whipped up a few very imperfect baby quilts for nieces this year. Makingi your own pattern for anything can be a struggle unless you're proficient at that type of creative work. (I know in not). You did a great job I love the colours you used & it looks so snuggle and warm :)
ReplyDeleteThis came in as spam?! Weird. I have yet to try quilting - I think it's all the ironing involved that discourages me :) Have a great (white) Christmas!
DeleteIt's gorgeous! I would love to receive this as a gift! And your tree is also very pretty and festive.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I hope you and your family have a very Merry Christmas!
